Registration is now open! To register, select the class that you’d like to register for. If we don’t have enough enrollment for a class, it will be canceled 2 weeks before class starts. If you have registered for a class that doesn’t have enough enrollment, we will contact you 2 weeks prior to the start date. Below are the middle school/high school science classes that will be offered the 2019-2020 school year. All information is subject to change. Physical Science A/B 

– In this physical science class, we will be studying matter, chemical properties and reactions, motion, forces, energy, light, and magnetism. The first semester will cover matter and change, atomic structure, periodic table, chemical interactions, as well as objects in motion. The second semester will cover energy, waves, sound, thermal energy, electromagnetic radiation, light, and electricity.

There is no textbook to purchase for this course, as all the required papers will be sent to the student electronically. The student will need to be able to print papers and scan (via app or scanner) and email certain papers back to me. To complete a full Physical Science Course, students will need to take Part B in 2019-2020 school year. Classes MUST be taken in order.

Meets: Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays 1:30 – 2:30 PM CST

Biology A/B

– In this biology class, we will be doing an in-depth study of cells, genetics, vertebrates and invertebrates. The first semester will cover cell function and reproduction, genetics and DNA, biotechnology, and ecology. The second semester will cover, microorganisms, plant biology, animals, and the human body.

There is no textbook to purchase for this course, as all the required papers will be sent to the student electronically. The student will need to be able to print papers and scan (via app or scanner) and email certain papers back to me. To complete a full Biology Course, students will need to take Part B in 2019-2020 school year. Classes MUST be taken in order.

Meets: Tuesdays and Thursdays, 1:30 – 3:00 PM CST

Chemistry A/B

In this chemistry class, we will be Scientific Method, Matter, Atomic Structure, Elements, Chemical Reactions, Stoichiometry, Chemical Kinetics, Physical States of Matter, Thermodynamics, Nuclear & Organic Chemistry. The first semester will cover atoms, electrons, nomenclature, bonding and reactions. The second semester will cover gasses, solutions, thermochemistry, electrochemistry, and organic chemistry.  There is no textbook to purchase for this course, as all the required papers will be sent to the student electronically. The student will need to be able to print papers and scan (via app or scanner) and email certain papers back to me. To complete a full Chemistry Course, students will need to take Part B in 2019-2020 school year. Classes MUST be taken in order.
