Summer Camps

To reserve your spot in a class, click the “Book Now!” link and reserve your spot. For all classes, there will be a minimum number of students required. If we do not have enough students, Jen will let you know. We will also have a maximum number of students. If we get too many students, we will put you on a waiting list. Jen will contact you shortly with information about what you need to get started! Classes are listed in order of age recommendations. Grade levels are for what grade your student will be in the 2017-2018 school year.

Music in Math A PreK through 1st Grade– Two Weeks – 45 minutes – Tuesdays and Thursdays -11:00 AM – 11:45 AM- June 6 through June 15 – $30 per student

Move to mathematics with Music in Math. Sing math-based songs, dance mathematical dances, and learn how math moves music. Students in the rising Pre-K through first grade class will focus on counting, pre-multiplication, addition, subtraction, basic fractions, movement, learning geometric choreography, and more.


Arts and Maths A – PreK through 2nd Grade – Two Weeks – 45 minutes – Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays -11:00 AM – 11:45 AM- June 26 through June 30 and July 10 through 14 – $50 per student

You’ve heard of arts and crafts, now check-out arts and maths. In this camp, we’ll create student and teacher guided art projects based on mathematical principles. Get ready to make some magically mathematical works of art. Students in the rising Pre-K through first grades will work in mostly 2-D and mixing- based crafts or projects.


Master Math Facts A 1st through 3rd Grade – Two Weeks – 1 hour – Tuesdays and Thursdays -12:00 PM – 1:00 PM- July 18 through July 27 – $45 per student

Math fact quizzes are given on almost a weekly basis in elementary school. Make sure your math fact skills stay sharp while having fun, running around, and showing off your math fact skills. The rising first through third grade students will focus on addition and subtraction facts. Each class will have a blast as they master math facts through games, movement, and timed assessments.


Music in Math B – 2nd through 4th Grade – Two Weeks – 1 1/2 hours – Tuesdays and Thursdays -12:00 PM – 1:30 PM- June 6 through June 15 – $60 per student

Super Solvers – 2nd through 7th Grade – Two Weeks – 1 hour – Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays -11:00 AM – 12:00 PM- June 5 through June 15 – $60 per student

Unlock the keys to understanding the language of word problems, discover problem-solving methods, and collaborate to complete hands-on challenges based on problem-solving concepts. Students in the rising second through fourth grade class will focus on decoding word problems, basic functions, making logical connections, measurement and more. Students in the rising fifth through seventh grade class will learn about fractions, decoding multi-step and single step word problems, basic algebra, measurement, and more.

Tabletop Games for Kids – 4th through 7th – Seven Weeks – 2 hours – Fridays -3:00 PM – 5:00 PM- June 9th through August 4th (no class on June 23 or July 7) – $10 per session or $60 for all seven.

Get Ready for Middle School 7th Grade – Two Weeks – 2 hours – Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays -1:00 PM – 3:00 PM- July 17 through July 28 – $75 per student

Review Elementary Math concepts to prepare for Middle School. Topics will include ratios, rates, percents, fraction and decimal operations, geometry, expressions and their properties, equations and inequalities and data analysis. We will also discuss the importance of organization in middle school and how to take notes in a math class.


Algebra II Prep Pre-requisite: Algebra I – One Week – 1 1/2 hours – Monday through Thursday – 3:30 PM – 5:00 PM- July 24 through July 27 – $50 per student

Most students take Geometry between Algebra I and Algebra II. This means a least a year between two classes that are very closely related. This class will review all the important Algebra I topics that are required for Algebra II. We will also preview a few new topics covered in Algebra II.


Graphing Calculators Pre-requisite: Algebra II – One Week – 1 hour – Monday through Thursday – 3:30 PM – 4:30 PM- July 17 through July 20 – $50 per student, $100 for the class and a calculator rental (for the class only)

Many teachers and schools are now moving toward teaching mathematics with a graphing calculator, particularly starting in Pre-Calculus. However, many students don’t know how to wield the power of a graphing calculator. In this class, we will cover all the basics of a TI-84 graphing calculator and ways to make it work for you.


ACT Prep Pre-requisite: Geometry – One Week – 2 hours – Monday through Thursday – 2:00 PM – 4:00 PM- June 5 through June 8 – $75 per student

This class will act as a “cram” class for the June 10th test. We will cover ALL topics covered on the ACT Math section: pre-algebra, elementary algebra, intermediate algebra, coordinate geometry, place geometry and trigonometry. We will also spend some time on the Science portion of the ACT, discussing strategies and how to interpret graphs.


Tabletop for Teenagers 8th through 12th Grade – 2 hours – Fridays – 3:00 PM – 5:00 PM- June 9th through August 4th (no class on June 23 or July 7) – $10 per session or $60 for all seven.

Compete and cooperate you way through games that not only are fun, but also reinforce mathematical concepts and problem solving. This class will also focus on the strategies of many table top games and how to use them to your advantage.
